The BEST apps and cloud services. EVER.

Blog 2

I couldn’t rest without my favourite bunch of apps, cloud services and software. They help keep my life (and me!) in order.

Xero for all my invoicing needs (it also does time tracking but I don’t need that at this point in my career)

Slack for radically transforming how my companies communicate, reduced my email inbox in half, and dramatically increased productivity – no-brainer.

WordPress is an obvious one for all of our various websites.

Dropbox is where we store all of our files. I would not be able to sleep without it.

Mailchimp is our service of choice to maintain our smaller mailing lists and sending some of our newsletters.

Ontraport is what we use for our larger mailing lists and sending newsletters out.

Shutterstock is our stock photography service of choice.

Trello is a god-send for our remote teams working both domestically and overseas, brilliant for co-ordinating to-do lists, schedules for social media/blogging, tracking bugs to fix.

Basecamp keeps track of our custom projects at CUSP.

Feedly is where I source interesting blogger articles.

Flipboard is where I source interesting news articles.

Evernote is like my little moleskin in the cloud, even my team are part of it online.

Dropmark has a neat sharing feature for groups of bookmarks that I often use to share groups of websites with clients and others.

Bufferapp is my virtual editor for all my social media needs.

PicMonkey makes sure we look good on the web with designy fonts.

Hostgator hosts all of our various websites.

Pandora is my music library in the cloud.

Yup! thank the gods for Slack! I’ve missed a bunch more apps to list, but these were the main ones our team use pretty much on a daily basis. What about you guys?

Main apps we use are Slack, Xero, Asana (project management), Pivotal Tracker (web development). Asana rocks, we can have a lot going on and it really keeps our eye on the ball.

I fought against the idea of introducing yet another way to communicate other than by email – but Slack is awesome. Messages straight to team members, permanent record, easy to use, sequentially stored messages. I really like using it.
