Outsource Your Life

May 5, 2015

Have you liked my Facebook page yet? If not, it would be great if you took a moment to hop over and like it now so we can connect!

Life can get busy, I get it. So it’s useful to have a list of places to turn for help when you need it. Offload the tasks you like least to somebody else, and give yourself more time to do the things you things you love.

My personal motto is: “Only Do The Fun Stuff!” (whatever fun means for you J)

As you know, I’m a big fan of lists (did you see my list of best apps and cloud services?) Chris Ducker has written a great list of 101 Tasks You Can Outsource if you’re looking for some more inspiration.

Book a taxi

Uber is convenient and easy.

Help with tasks

Airtasker (Task Rabbit in the US) is the place to go to get things done.

Fill a skills gap

Post a job on Elance or Odesk to find your next helper.

Buy cheap designs

99 Designs, Fivrr, Etsy and Design Crowd are all great places to find good value designs with a fast turnaround.

Declutter your life

Find a decluttering company like Declutter Home or Clear Space to help you organise your home or workspace. I personally subscribe to the FlyLady’s philosophy.

Get jobs done

Hire a hubby is great for all of those tasks you’ve been putting off around the house.

Give your ‘to do’ list away

Hire a concierge or lifestyle manager to whizz through your jobs.

Pamper your pooch

For pet sitting, dog washing, grooming and dog walking try Rover or Ozdoggy to help with your beloved pet.

Get a VA

Find a reliable virtual personal assistant at Blake Daniel.

Cook smart

Enjoy cooking fresh, healthy food from scratch with a delivery from MyFoodBag (Sydney and Melbourne), Blue Apron (US) Hello Fresh  (various locations) or Gousto (UK). Or if you’re lucky enough to live in Melbourne, get pre-prepared meals for an entire week from My Goodness Organics.

Clean your home

Find a local cleaning company like Whizz to vacuum your house.

Find someone to help with the kids

Look for a new nanny or babysitter on UrbanSitter (US), FindABabysitter (UK), Babysitter Search (AU) or Care for Kids (AU).

Don’t be afraid to let go and lighten the load!

I would love to know what you use for your outsourced jobs? Please leave comments below so I can check them out.

If you enjoyed reading this list, please share it with your friends!
