The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. – Albert Einstein
Ah decisions, decisions. I used to be one of those people. You know, who I’m talking about. The sort of gal with a spreadsheet of pros and cons for EVERYthing. I’d weigh up every teeny choice and make it all way more complicated than it needed to be.
*Whispers* I’ll let you in on a little secret: Sometimes, I’d even opt out of making any decision for fear of making the wrong choice.
Then I realised something pretty damn awesome: My body could make the choices for me. And it could make better decisions than I ever could. Even those really tricky, hard-to-make ones that used to wake me up in the night.
I stopped trying to use my brain, and instead started to trust my gut. It spoke to me. Quietly at first. But the more I paid attention to it, the more it became a massive, shouty-but-tuneful voice that told me everything I needed to know. Listening to it became so easy. Decision-making became a breeze. I ditched the lists and spreadsheets and started gliding into intuitively guided business decisions and having fun again.
Giving myself too much time and space just made me indecisive. Now I pause and take a breath. Then I trust my body to pull me towards the choice that will take me further on my journey.
If I need a quick answer, I resort to my crystal pendulum – my sub-conscious really does know everything.
There are no wrong decisions, only different paths. I like to let my gut be my navigator.
How do you make decisions? Are you a list-fiend, or do you prefer to let yourself be guided by your intuition?
