Dear reader, do you love what you do? Lately I’ve been seeing people bringing the mood down on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter by giving days strange names.
I usually delete someone’s post if they mention something about ‘Mondayitis’. And seeing everyone talk about ‘Hump Day’ in the middle of the week annoys the S%&T out of me. Don’t even get me started on the ‘Sunday Slump’….
The only spark seems to come on ‘TGIF’ when people are shaking off the day job ready for the weekend. Then, my Facebook timeline is packed with people moving from work mode to play mode.
Work doesn’t have to be that way. There are jobs where you can experience Marvellous Mondays, Thrilling Tuesdays, Wicked Wednesdays, Tremendous Thursdays and Freakin’ Awesome Fridays. Then, if you can tear yourself away from all that fun, you can head off for a weekend with Stupendous Saturdays and Sassy Sundays before beginning the excitement all over again.
Why should work days be as fun as the weekend? Because NOW is all that matters. Who knows how long we’ve got on this beautiful planet – why waste five out of seven days of this precious, irreplaceable time by being unhappy? FIVE OUT OF SEVEN DAYS?!!!!
Work can be fun. If yours isn’t, then you’re in the wrong job. It’s that simple.
What’s your favourite day of the week and why?
